Dr. Vijay Kher

Dr. Vijay Kher is one of India's greatest nephrologists, with over 44 years of experience. He has established successful nephrology departments at Srinagar's Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow's SGPGI, New Delhi's Apollo Hospitals, Fortis Hospitals, and Gurugram's Medanta,The Medicity. Dr. Kher has over 180 peer-reviewed papers and has given over 350 talks at national and international scientific conferences. Kidney transplantation (clinical immunosuppression, pre-emptive kidney transplantation, steroid-free immunosuppression, cost containment), renal disease progression, acute kidney damage, and glomerulonephritis are among his research interests. He has received fellowships from the National Academy of Medical Sciences, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and the Indian Society of Nephrology.
