In order to meet the healthcare needs of North-Eastern Singapore, Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) is a crucial component of Singapore's master plan. SKH is a SingHealth acute care hospital that houses a variety of specialist clinics and is partnered with Sengkang Community Hospital. A smooth transition from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitative and community care is provided to patients by the team of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals at SKH, reflecting our objective of attaining better health together. This care is provided in a healing atmosphere. The hospital collaborates with polyclinics, general practitioners, and other healthcare providers to provide longer-term care for the management of chronic diseases through patient follow-ups and ensuring timely and appropriate access to specialist care for acute and complex cases. This is all part of the hospital's efforts to provide patients with integrated care. Because SKH has partnered with the National Heart Center, National Cancer Center, Singapore National Eye Centre, National Dental Centre Singapore, National Neuroscience Institute, and KK Women's and Children's Hospital to offer specialty services within the hospital's Medical Center, residents in the north-east also have easy access to national specialty services close to their homes.
