Chief Executive Officer and Senior Consultant in the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore is Clinical Professor Terrance Chua (NHCS). Additionally, he serves as the Group Chairman of the SingHealth Medical Board and Academic Chair of the Duke-NUS Cardiovascular Sciences Academic Clinical Program. Additionally, Clin Prof Chua is the Singapore Ministry of Health's Chairman of the Residency Advisory Committee for Cardiology. Nuclear Cardiology is his area of subspecialty interest. He is certified in nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography (CT) by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT and has a special interest in cardiac imaging. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine). Prof. Terrance Chua is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and London, the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Department of Cardiology. In 2013, the National Medical Excellence Awards presented Clin Prof Chua with the National Outstanding Clinician Award in recognition of his contributions to the growth of nuclear cardiology in Singapore. Head and Senior Consultant for the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the National Heart Centre Singapore is Clinical Assistant Professor Tan Teing Ee (NHCS). He oversees the NHCS Heart Transplant and Mechanical Assist Device Programs as the Chief Medical Informatics Officer. Cardiothoracic surgery (adult), robotic/minimally invasive heart surgery, heart-lung transplant, mechanical heart assist device, and pacemaker lead extraction are Clin Asst Prof Tan's areas of specialist interest. From the National University of Singapore, he earned his bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery in 1989. Clin Asst Prof Tan completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship in 2001 at Westmead Hospital in NSW, Australia, and in 2002 at Mt Sinai Hospital in New York, USA. Since 1995, he has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, and since 2003, he has been a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore. View Profile

The National University of Singapore and the University of Adelaide both awarded Dr. Ho degrees in medicine: a bachelor's in medicine and surgery and a master's in medicine. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Pathologists and the Royal College of Physicians in London. He finished his haematology residency at King's College Hospital in London and worked there as a consultant haematologist before joining SGH. Dr. Ho is interested in acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, other bone marrow failure syndromes, and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. View Profile

A/Prof Au received his education at the National Neuroscience Institute after graduating from the National University of Singapore. He undertook a two-year Movement Disorders Fellowship at the Pacific Parkinson's Research Centre in Vancouver, Canada, following the completion of his Advanced Specialist Training. The Toronto Western Hospital in Toronto, Canada, is where he received more training in electrophysiology for movement disorders. The clinical treatment of individuals with Parkinson disease and movement disorders is A/Prof Au's area of expertise. He has received training in injecting patients with botulinum toxin for a variety of movement problems, including spasticity, dystonia, hemifacial spasm, and blepharospasm. His areas of interest in the study of Parkinson's disease include electrophysiology and functional neuroimaging. View Profile

Currently serving as the CEO of Changi General Hospital (CGH) and Senior Consultant for the Department of Neurosurgery at the National Neuroscience Institute is Dr. Ng Wai Hoe (NNI). Prior to this, he served as the SingHealth Duke-NUS Neuroscience Academic Clinical Program's Academic Chair, Academic Director for the National Neuroscience Institute, and Deputy Chairman for the SingHealth Medical Board. Dr. Ng is a neurosurgeon who specialises in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery, epilepsy surgery, and neurosurgical oncology (brain tumors). He completed residency training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital in Australia, and he is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He received subspecialty training in neuro-oncology at the Royal Melbourne and Royal Children's Hospital, stereotactic and functional neurosurgery at Toronto Western Hospital, and paediatric neurosurgery at the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto). He also served as a visiting scholar and Sugita Fellow at Nagoya University. View Profile

In addition to receiving extensive training in shoulder, knee, sports, and arthroscopic surgery at the University of Washington in the United States, Professor Andrew Tan earned his orthopaedic surgery training in Singapore. He was one of the first few medical professionals in Singapore to receive the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's Fellowship in Orthopaedics in 2002, certifying him as an orthopaedic specialist at that time. Since his return from the United States in 2003, he has been working as an orthopaedic surgeon at the Singapore General Hospital. He is currently the department's head and senior consultant, as well as an adjunct professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore and clinical professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. He is actively engaged in clinical research in orthopaedics. He has published extensively in major international and regional orthopaedic publications about his surgical methods and results since he strongly thinks that clinical studies are essential to provide patients with the best care possible. He has also given lectures on his work all around the world and reviews manuscripts for many scholarly journals. Senior Consultant Dr. Ang Mei-Kim works at the National Cancer Centre Singapore's Division of Medical Oncology. Her clinical interests include the treatment of patients with thoracic malignancies and head and neck tumours. She also participates in a number of ongoing clinical trials and cancer research projects. Dr. Ang is a member of the senior residency training programme in medical oncology's core faculty. Dr. Shashidhar Baikunje joined Sengkang General Hospital in 2016 after being recruited as a consultant nephrologist at Singapore General Hospital in 2015. In 2017, he received a promotion to Senior Consultant, and in 2018, he was appointed head of the renal service. Since the beginning, he has contributed to the establishment of the renal services at Sengkang General Hospital. He previously held the positions of Head of the Nephrology Department at K. S. Hedge Hospital, Consultant Physician and Nephrologist at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl, UK, Associate Professor of Medicine at Nitte University in Mangalore, India, where he was involved in the establishment of the renal and transplant service, and Consultant Physician and Nephrologist at Nitte University. In 1994, Dr. Baikunje graduated from Bangalore University in India with a medical degree. He travelled to the UK after completing his postgraduate degree in medicine at South Gujarat University, where he was recognised as the most outgoing student, and completed his speciality study in nephrology and general (internal) medicine at Wessex Deanery. Glomerulonephritis and chronic kidney disease are two areas of special interest for Dr. Baikunje. He has written articles about IgA nephropathy, postinfectious glomerulonephritis, and vasculitis. Under an Australian Government scholarship, Associate Professor John SP Yuen studied medicine at the University of Melbourne and earned a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; BS) degree in 1996. He is currently the head and senior consultant of the department of urology. He received advanced urological training in Singapore, where he also earned membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000 and a Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). In 2004, he was accepted as a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine and as a Member of the Urologist Chapter of the Singapore College of Surgeons. Additionally engaged in undergraduate and graduate education, Dr. Yuen. At the NUS, he oversees candidates for the PhD and Master's degrees. He has teaching positions at the Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore as well as the Yong Loo Lin (YLL) School of Medicine at NUS (Clinical Associate Professor). He served as the Chairman of the National Urology Exit Examination Committee and is a judge for the NUS YLL School of Medicine's Final MBBS examination (2014 - 2015). View Profile
