Dr. Vipul Gupta

Dr. Vipul Gupta received his training in Interventional Neuroradiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, where he also served as an Associate Professor from 2005 to 2007. He finished his fellowships at the Rothschild Foundation in Paris (2005) and the Cleveland Clinic in the United States (1999).Dr. Gupta is a visiting professor at UMASS General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. He specialises in intracranial aneurysm coiling, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), tumour occlusion, angioplasty, and stenting of arterial stenosis, including carotid stenting, and intra-arterial thrombolysis for stroke.He was also named one of the country's "Top 10 Young Surgeons" by Hindustan Times. Prior to joining Artemis, he worked at the Max Institute of Neurosciences as the Head of Interventional Neuroradiology until 2009, and then at Medanta the Medicity as the Head of Interventional Neuroradiology/Neurointerventional Surgery until May 2016. He has more than 45 journal papers and 7 book chapters to his name. He has presented abstracts (papers) at over 40 Indian and international conferences. In 2006, he received the IMA Award, and in 2007, he received the I.M.A. Academy of Medical Specialties Award.
