Dr Francisco Salcido-Ochoa

Nephrologist and transplant immunologist Dr. Francisco Salcido-Ochoa practises at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He has experience with kidney transplantation, kidney dialysis, and renal replacement therapy. He specialises in treating chronic kidney disease, kidney failure, general nephrology, and acid-base and electrolyte metabolic disorders. Dr. Francisco acquired a few institutional research funds during his time at SGH and actively took part in a number of studies on the immunological mechanisms causing kidney dialysis and transplant rejection, as well as the identification of novel biomarkers. He has worked closely with a number of research organisations in Singapore, including the Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology, the Singapore Immunology Network, the SingHealth Translational Immunology and Inflammation Centre, and the Department of Pathology at SGH.
