BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Alassaad worked as an orthopaedic surgeon in hospitals in Saudi Arabia and Aleppo, Syria, before beginning his career at Mediclinic in 2009. He oversaw the orthopaedic department at Al Razi Hospital in Aleppo, the city's main surgical, emergency, and teaching facility. It has 200 beds, 60 of which are designated for orthopaedic surgery, and is supported by the Ministry of Health. Between 1994 until 2006, he served as the Aleppo Medical Association's president. After earning his degree from Aleppo University in 1981, Dr. Alassaad continued his education in the former Soviet Union.
