Adj Asst Prof Heng Chin Tiong

The Director of the Division of Urology at JurongHealth Campus is Adj Asst Prof Heng Chin Tiong. At Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, he works as a Senior Consultant. He belongs to the Chapter of Urologists of the College of Surgeons in Singapore and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). His education included a year spent as a fellow with the Westmead Hospital's Department of Urology in Australia. Adj Asst Prof Heng specialises in laparoscopic urologic surgery (including laparoscopic nephrectomy and pyeloplasty), extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL), and urinary stone surgery (including ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotripsy). In numerous regional centres, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, and China, he has provided on-site training for ESWL. Adj Asst Prof Heng, who is dedicated to medical education, supervised the Year 3 Medical Undergraduate Program at the National University of Singapore's Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine from 2010 to 2012. He presently serves as the programme director for the Diploma in Urology offered by the Chapter of Urologists, College of Surgeons, Singapore, and a member of the Residency Advisory Committee for Urology.
